We are working mostly on porting important dependencies of Zope to Python 3:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/zopefoundation\/RestrictedPython\/tree\/Python3_update\" target=\"_blank\">RestrictedPython<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>In the discussion we found out that the through the web (TTW) approach needs to be kept in Zope because it is needed by software in production and there is no way to change the use case.<\/li>\n<li>It is needed anyway in AccessControl.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/zopefoundation\/AccessControl\/tree\/py3-pure-python\" target=\"_blank\">AccessControl<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/zopefoundation\/zope.globalrequest\/tree\/python-3\" target=\"_blank\">zope.globalrequest<\/a><\/li>\n<li>TextIndexNG3 aka\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/zopyx\/zopyx.txng3.ext\/tree\/python-3\" target=\"_blank\">zopyx.txng3.ext<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/zopyx\/zopyx.txng3.core\/tree\/python-3\" target=\"_blank\">zopyx.txng3.core<\/a><\/li>\n<li>even <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/zopefoundation\/grok\/tree\/resurrection-python3\">Grok<\/a>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Zope 4 is now per default based on\u00a0WSGI. Thanks to Hanno who invested much time to make the <a href=\"http:\/\/zope.readthedocs.io\/en\/latest\/WHATSNEW.html#recommended-wsgi-setup\" target=\"_blank\">WSGI story of Zope<\/a> much more streamlined.<\/p>\n<p>We found out that the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/zopefoundation\/zopetoolkit\">ZTK (Zope Toolkit)<\/a>\u00a0is no longer used in any of the projects using packages of it (Zope, Grok, Bluebream \u2013 as it is dead).
